My work takes the form of drawings on paper and on the wall; both informed by an ongoing dialogue between natural forms and artificial materials, light and shadow. They allude to the intangible and fleeting, the accumulation of moments in time.  I create hybrid environments using plastic plants, living plants, latex paint, industrial and technological detritus and cast shadow, that recall the  process of growth and decay in nature and the interplay between the natural and human-made world.

Increasingly, my creative process, materials and ideas are generated by my own personal experiences--raising kids, backyard chickens and organic vegetables and a growing (no pun intended) interest in green environmental alternatives--aqua farming, vertical and roof gardening, recycling, upcycling, bio engineering, dystopias and parallel botany, These ideas, which infuse my art, are given tangible form thru my work.

All my work explores themes of growth and transformation and human intervention in the natural world while referencing some of the environmental challenges we currently face.
